Thanks to all our participating South Division businesses and the generosity of Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. and the city’s Office of Special Events, our June 8 celebration of Fashion, Art and Music came off without a hitch!
FAM on SoDIV returns June 8. Heartside is Grand Rapids’ destination for Fashion, Art and Music — and we’re celebrating them all with our second FAM on SoDIV celebration Saturday, June 8, 12-7 p.m.
The fun will stretch along South Division from Fulton to Wealthy and feature:
- A trolley shuttle between Center City and SoDIV
- A free concert in Pekich Park
- A shopping event at 106 Gallery with a DJ, food, drinks and pop-up vendors
- Sales and special offers from all our vintage stores and art galleries
And much more!
Meanwhile, our second annual Heart🧡Prize weekend is shaping up to be even bigger than last year’s, thanks to the support of Heartside businesses and the ArtPrize team. HBA board member Kailey Smith-Barth (ArtPrize) reported that 47 Heartside businesses had registered as ArtPrize 2024 venues — 10 more than last year, including a large installation in Pekich Park. (Stay tuned for details about a grant to fund that artwork!)

Welcome Rewind Grand Rapids! This month’s Breakfast Club welcomed Caleb Straight and Tina Larabel-Straight, co-owners of SoDIV’s newest vintage store. Located at 17 Division Ave. S. (next door to Second Vibess). Rewind GR specializes in sports cards, Pokemon cards, streetwear, ‘80s memorabilia, fan T-shirts and more. Like Grammotones (the music-themed vintage store and event space that opened in February), Rewind GR expands the range of West Michigan’s hottest shopping destination for vintage fashion.
